Youngsters are always invited to join the band, with instruments provided at no cost, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy music. The band has expressed thanks to everyone who has been a member, watched performances or made donations over the past ten years.

Blowzone is the community wind band for Tavistock with a varied repertoire for all ages and abilities and encourages members to improve skills and confidence as well as supporting smaller ensembles within the group.

Stannary Brass Band was formed in 1995 and is based in Tavistock.

The Band's objective is "to maintain, improve and advance the education of the public through the promotion and practice of brass band music".
